About Mary

I spent my whole career working at startups in Silicon Valley. I arrived here in the late 80's and grew the engineering team at multiple companies. My super power is in organizing teams for high performance, figuring process that works as we grow, and getting everyone focused on the right things at the right time (professional cat herder). My teams have always been loyal to me because I treat them with respect, create an inclusive organization where everyone's voice is heard, and have a direct style that helps everyone grow and learn. I have low tolerance for dysfunction having lived in dysfunctional companies for too long. I have also been mentoring engineers and engineering managers for many years now and love helping people solve problems.
