Modern Backend development and its learning path

There was a time when backend applications comprised of a HTTP handler with a database connection into on premise servers. This solutions is not suitable anymore for the current needs of our industry. Topics such as Cloud Computing, DevOps and Data Science are often mentioned in our product requirements and as a Modern Backend Developers, we need to collaborate with these different areas towards a common goal. In this session, we'll discuss how to transform a monolithic non-performing backend application into a modern scalable and reliable one, outlining the knowledge and skills that might help Modern Backend Developers to succeed on their future challenges. As a continuation of this discussion, a hands-on session might be scheduled, depending on the interest of the participants.
